How do I build genuine faith?

Every culture in history has asked this question. Death feels like an ending for some and the beginning for others. The Christian answer is that there is life after death, and it is defined by our relationship with God. The Bible teaches that each person has an eternal soul that continues beyond physical death. What comes next depends on whether we have placed our trust in Jesus Christ.

For those who follow Jesus, death is not the end but a transition. It is the beginning of unbroken fellowship with God. Jesus told a dying thief beside him on the cross, “Today you will be with me in paradise.” Paul wrote that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

The Bible also speaks of a final resurrection where bodies are raised, a final judgment occurs, and God makes all things new. Those who reject God experience permanent separation from Him, which Scripture calls the “second death.” It is a sobering reality the Bible doesn’t soften.

But the heart of the Christian message is hope because death has been defeated. Jesus rose from the dead as the “first fruits” of a resurrection that all who trust in Him will share. We don’t have to fear what’s on the other side because He has already been there and returned.
