Some ask: Why do I need to be saved? That must be understood before pursuing the salvation question. The Bible teaches that every person has sinned and fallen short of God’s perfect standard. That sin creates a real separation between us and God. Left unresolved, that separation is permanent. Being “saved” means being rescued from that separation and restored to relationship with God.
The good news, the Gospel, is that God didn’t leave us to solve this ourselves. Jesus, who is fully God and fully human, lived the life we couldn’t live, then died on the cross to take the penalty our sin deserved. He rose again three days later, defeating death and opening the way back to God. What we could never earn, he offers freely.
Salvation comes by grace through faith and not by being good enough, religious enough, or trying harder. It comes by turning to Jesus and acknowledging your need, believing that he died and rose for you, and trusting him as Lord of your life. This is what the Bible calls repentance and faith.
It doesn’t require a special prayer formula. It’s a genuine turning of the heart. You might simply tell God: “I know I’ve fallen short. I believe Jesus died for me and rose again. I turn from living for myself and ask you to be my Lord and Savior.”
If you prayed something like that and meant it — welcome. We would love to talk with you about what comes next.
